Friday, February 26 Update from Ms. Corso

Happy Friday O’Dea Core Knowledge Elementary families!  It has been another amazing week and we are wrapping up February filled with love…laughter and learning.  Thank you for your support with keeping our school community safe and healthy and for your support of our teaching team as we continue to work hard to ensure that all of our grade level standards are taught (and learned) as we enter into spring.

We are happy to be hosting our Read Across America Spirit Week next week and I am attaching the flyer here in case you need another one.  Spirit Week flyer 2021 Read Across America Week.docx   Please encourage your child to participate as we are not able to do many of our traditional fun events this year…yet this one…we can!  It has also been super fun to see our “Overalls Fridays” population growing…sometimes…it is the simple things that make us smile.

Thank you as well for ensuring that your children are coming each day when they are healthy.  As I mentioned…our teachers are doing double time with some of our standards and it is super important that your child be here as much as possible when they can.  It is always a balance of keeping everyone safe and healthy…and making sure our students are not falling behind…so if they are healthy…please make sure that they are here.

As always…thank you for your support…we only have fifty-five more days of instruction with your children…and it is going by so fast.  I have told you this before…and I am going to tell you again…that I LOVE coming to work and seeing your children every single day.  We make each other happy…we make each other laugh…and it just feels right.   We are truly the lucky ones.

Much love and support,
