Good afternoon O’Dea Core Knowledge Elementary families! We are getting ready for the launch of our CMAS assessment window next week for our fifth grade students…third and fourth grades will launch the following week. Although there has been a decrease in the number of assessments required…it is still a very important window of time to have your students at school…on time…ready to show what they know. We are super proud of our team and appreciate all the work that has gone into preparing our students to simply rock these assessments.
We have also been busy meeting with families for our parent teacher conferences as well. It is a very important time to connect with your child’s teacher to see how they are doing…how the transition back to school has gone…and areas that they are excelling and areas that they may need some additional support. We value these conferences and expect our families to carve out some time to host these meaningful conversations…thank you for your support of our efforts.
Please remember that we do not have school tomorrow (Friday) as we are hosting conferences and Monday is a Teacher Workday. We look forward to seeing the children again on Tuesday, April 20th.
We are also hosting another O’Dea Dinner Night at Torchy’s Tacos…and I am attaching the flyer for you with all the scoop. It is a great way to support our school…maybe cross paths with a few friends…and take the night off from cooking dinner. Check out the flyer here: Torchy's Tacos flyer.pdf
Our teachers are working on class lists already for next year. Thank you to everyone who has already reached out with thoughts…we are not taking any more at this point in time and we look forward to sending home teacher assignments for next year on the last day of school.
Thank you as always for your love…support…connections and great communication. It really does mean the world to me…and to our team. We are thankful to be a part of such an amazing school community that is truly raising some great humans every day.
Much love and support,
Laurie
