Happy Long Weekend O’Dea Core Knowledge Elementary Families! Thank you to everyone who was able to meet and connect with their child’s teacher for parent teacher conferences this week. It is a very important opportunity for families and teachers to connect…to build a relationship…and for us to be able to share with you how your child is doing while they are here with us. When you think about it…our students spend a good chunk of their waking hours with us…so it is very important to us that we are able to share that side of their story. If you had something come up and were unable to attend…please be sure to reschedule as we do expect 100% parent contact for this event…thank you!
A big shout out also goes out to our amazing PTA and family community who provided our team with the most delicious taco bar lunch today. It arrived at lunch time and we were able to eat all day long. Thank you…thank you! There are enough leftovers for lunch on Monday…so it is the gift that will keep on giving! If you brought a pot or container…we will have them available for pick up next week or we can send it home with your child.
Our next Family Dinner Night out is coming up as well! On Thursday, October 27th Texas Roadhouse will be donating a portion of their proceeds to O’Dea Core Knowledge Elementary…so if you would like a night off from cooking and would like to see some friends and classmates…be sure to come on by between the hours of 5:00 – 8:00. I hope that you all enjoy the long weekend with your people. The leaves are turning…the air is cooling...and it just looks and feels like fall outside. I am heading to visit my son who attends the University of Oregon and we will definitely be doing some hiking and climbing while I am there. It will be a short and sweet visit then back to taking care of our students on Monday…such a great balance.
