Happy Friday O’Dea Core Knowledge Elementary Families! It was a short and sweet week and a nice transition back to school for our teachers and students. It was so lovely hearing everyone’s stories of rest…family time…and winter adventuring. It is also so nice to hear the teachers and students say how much they were looking forward to being back together again. It is such a win…win. We love our time here at school…and we love our holiday time as well. We do miss each other and look forward to having a full house again at school.
There is not much news to share this week…yet I did want to remind families about our next Dinner Night Out Event being held at Crisp and Green on Thursday, January 19th from 5:00 – 8:00. It is a great opportunity to take the night off from cooking dinner…to join with some families from our community…and have some of the proceeds donated back to our school. I am attaching the flyer here for your review.
We are also hosting our next PTA meeting on Monday, January 9th from 6:00 – 7:00. It is in a virtual format so you can join us from the comforts of your own home. We will also be hosting our Winter School Accountability Committee meeting on Thursday, January 12th from 6:00 – 7:00. This will be an opportunity for families to learn more about our data collection processes for student achievement and growth as well to develop a deeper understanding of our budget and staffing processes. I cannot tell you how many times I had a student say, “I missed you.” It feels good to have our school community be so strong…so supportive…and so loving that children miss it when they are not here.
