We had a fantastic two days of school! It was truly special to watch the community come together, welcome our kids, and see our staff in action!!! I feel blessed to be part of the O’Dea Community! Special thanks to our amazing PTA for providing popsicles for our Backpack Drop Off on Wednesday night. Here are some important announcements for our week ahead!
Important Announcements
8/24 Back to School Night! We will have Back to School Night on Thursday Night 5:30-6:45 (5th Grade Eco Week presentation 7:00-7:30). We will have two rotations of classroom teacher presentations to support families with multiple students – Round #1 5:30-6:00 and Round #2 6:15-6:45 & 5th Grade Eco Week 7:00-7:30.
CROSSING GUARD (Tulane and Drake) – We are seeking to hire an afternoon Crossing Guard 3:38-4:00 (Paid for a full hour). We have two volunteers who are manning it for the next week (shout out to Josh Hobbs for organizing this support). If you are interested in volunteering/applying, see Tammy in the office!
Garden Club Workday - Families are INVITED to a Garden Club workday at O'Dea on Saturday, August 26th from 10am - 11am. We are looking for 8-10 volunteers to help weed the front and the back of the school. We'd love to freshen up the space to make it more inviting for our children and families returning to school!
