Family Update - Halloween Parade

Good afternoon O’Dea Core Knowledge Elementary families!  I cannot believe that it is already here…our Halloween Parade is less that twenty-four hours away…AND…Mother Nature is totally supporting us with a day with abundant sunshine and 71-degree weather…what a gift! Here are the details of our event:

  • Our parade will start at 2:30.
  • We will start with kindergarten (then in grade level order) and grade levels will be called to the playground area and enter the “chute” which will be located on the backside of our modular.
  • Parents must stand in one of our rectangle cones/”parent viewing area” in the center of the parade. This area is designated just for you to watch the parade and have an opportunity to take some pictures of your child.
  • After they parade…classes will be on reentering their spaces through their exterior door not through the building and then hosting holiday fiestas from there.
  • Please help us have fun and stay safe by not entering the building and watching the parade from parent viewing area…this is a super exciting time for our littles…our laughter and love…breeds more laughter and love.

Also…don’t forget that tonight is our O’Dea Night at the Garlic Knot!  We are excited to partner with the Garlic Knot to have a Spirit Night fundraiser to help support the O'Dea PTA. Showing the attached flyer or mentioning O'Dea gives a portion of your purchase to help with student and teacher needs at O'Dea Elementary. The fundraiser is valid for dine-in, take-out, and delivery orders. What better way to support our school and get a yummy lunch or dinner!? We hope to see you there!  ODeaGarlicKnotFlyer.pdf

Please let me know if you have any questions…it is going to be a super evening and super fun day tomorrow as well!

Happy Halloween Parading,

Laurie
