Thursday, March 31st Family Update

Happy Thursday O’Dea Core Knowledge Elementary families!  I am sending our Family Update a bit early so that I can remind families that today is our Family Meal Event at Café Mexicali…lunch and dinner!  I am reattaching the flyer here Cafe Mexicali.docx  for you as you have to show it at check out to have the funds donated to O’Dea.  It is a great opportunity to support our school…support a local business…and eat delicious food!

I am also attaching a flyer with some information about our Silent Auction event that we will be hosting at our Spring Fun and Core Fair Festival in May.  Grade levels have started to communicate with families…and I wanted to ensure that families had some background information as well.   Please check out the scoop here: Silent Auction Family Letter.docx

As we launch into the month of April, we are also celebrating Autism Acceptance month at our site.  This is a great opportunity to support the diversity of our school community and build understanding and compassion within ourselves and our students.  I am attaching a Spirit Week flyer here for your review. Autism Acceptance Month Spirit Flyer.docx Please check it out.

I also think it is a good idea to reattach our April calendar here  April 2022 Family.pdf  in case you need another copy.

Parent teacher conferences are also upon us mid-April.  This is another great chance to connect with your child’s teacher to see how they are doing in school…and to share any thoughts as well.  We look forward to seeing our parents back in the building in person…it feels like it has been forever.

Next week will be our next School Accountability Committee meeting on Thursday, April 7th at 6:00.  It will be a great opportunity to connect about our budget and staffing plan for next year and learn more about how the budgeting process works in Poudre School District.  The link for the meeting is included here: Click here to join the meeting  Please feel free to join us if you can.

The sun feels lovely…the sky is blue…and our teachers and students are happy and thankful to be together at school.  Somedays…it is just the simple things that make us the happiest.

Much love and support,

Laurie
