Well…our big school Fun Run FUNdraiser is well underway!

Good evening O’Dea Core Knowledge Elementary families!   Well…our big school Fun Run FUNdraiser is well underway!  We have already raised almost $5,000 which is an amazing jumpstart to our program.  Thank you to all of the families that logged into mybooster.com…and have started to collect donations for our school.  The goal of new playground structures is very exciting for our students.  We launched our program yesterday and introduced some fun characters, Marcia Marwinkle and Marty Markepenski, two National Park Rangers who are professional moose whisperers.  There is a “moose on the loose” named Earl who loves to do Fun Runs…and he and his friends have left the National Parks and are here to support our fundraising.  You may hear your child talk about these funny characters and “Earl sightings” over the next two weeks…so please feel free to play along.  It is simply a fun and entertaining way to keep the children excited and motivated for our big event next week.

We will be hosting our Fun Run during the school day on Thursday, October 6th.   We will have scheduled times that your child’s grade level will be participating in the Fun Run and parents are welcome to join in and cheer our students as they run.  Our schedule of events will be going out on in our Friday email…so please keep an eye out for that (and Earl!).

As always…thank you for your support and your commitment to our school.  Our fundraisers are important for us to provide that next level of support that provides our school with more options that we would not traditionally have.  Our teachers and our students are very appreciative!

As always…please reach out with any questions…we are here to help!

Much love and support,

Laurie/Marcia
