About Me
Why I Teach:

I love to see the cogs working when students explore a new concept.  It's fun to help kids grapple through mistakes and come through the other side a brighter and more resilient person.  Teaching is always unpredictable and loads of fun!

I have four little rascals ages 3 to 9 years old and a very patient husband.  We also have 2 dogs and 3 cats.

I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado with an emphasis on literacy instruction and my masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Colorado Christian University.

I was born in Cincinnati, OH and moved to Colorado when I was 10.

I spend some of my spare time working with foster and adopted kids through the Finally Home Foundation and  Royal Family Kids Camp.  I also volunteer in my church youth group.  I love scrapbooking, reading, and spending time with my beautiful family.

Favorite Quote:

Favorite Book or Story:

My favorite books are The Giver by Lois Lowry and Sahara Special by Esme Raji Codell.

Favorite Sports Team:

My husband is the greatest Broncos fan around, so I fully support him in this endeavor.

My Classroom
About My Classroom:

I believe that every child can learn with the right environment and a lot of love and support.  I always strive to create a community of acceptance and equality in my classroom.  Above all else, inquiry and mistakes are applauded as they are stepping stones toward discovery.
