I love to see the cogs working when students explore a new concept. It's fun to help kids grapple through mistakes and come through the other side a brighter and more resilient person. Teaching is always unpredictable and loads of fun!
I have four little rascals ages 3 to 9 years old and a very patient husband. We also have 2 dogs and 3 cats.
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado with an emphasis on literacy instruction and my masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Colorado Christian University.
I was born in Cincinnati, OH and moved to Colorado when I was 10.
I spend some of my spare time working with foster and adopted kids through the Finally Home Foundation and Royal Family Kids Camp. I also volunteer in my church youth group. I love scrapbooking, reading, and spending time with my beautiful family.

I believe that every child can learn with the right environment and a lot of love and support. I always strive to create a community of acceptance and equality in my classroom. Above all else, inquiry and mistakes are applauded as they are stepping stones toward discovery.
