I have 3 amazing kids: Thea, Destin, and Owen. Our family loves to ride bikes and eat ice cream in the summer! When it gets cold and snowy, we like to go sledding and drink hot chocolate! We have one pet, a fish...I'm actually surprised it's still alive since my son remembers to feed it maybe once a week! The fish doesn't even have a name. My children have been begging me for years to get a dog, so we have dog-sat for several friends and are hoping to foster a rescue dog one day.
I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. I also have my master's degree in Educational Leadership from University of Northern Colorado. I have taught for a total of 18 years and have been an instructional coach. I will be starting my third year at O'Dea!
I was born at Poudre Valley Hospital many years ago! I grew up in Loveland until we moved to Missouri. I have also lived in Ohio, Florida, Montana, and Georgia. I'm so thankful that I had the opportunity to move back to my home state of Colorado!
Most of my free time is spent hanging out with my kids. We love to take hikes, ride bikes, watch movies, play games, etc. I like to read cooking magazines and try new recipes.
“If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way.” -Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
My favorite picture book is Buzzy the Bumblebee by Denise Brennan-Nelson. My two favorite books to read aloud with students are Charlotte's Web and The Chocolate Touch!
Although I don't spend much time watching sports, I do follow the Boston Red Sox and the Florida Gators. My favorite sport to watch is hockey...the only place where it's okay to fight!
