O'Dea Owl Families,
Thanks, everyone, for joining Core Fair last night! This event is always one of the highlights of our year—it’s a powerful reflection of what makes O’Dea so special. It showcases the partnership between families, staff, and students in creating a community rooted in love, inclusion, belonging, and a deep commitment to learning. We truly appreciate your time, energy, and especially your willingness to stay late to give our families a meaningful and memorable celebration of learning. Thank you for everything you do to make this event—and our school—so exceptional. Special thanks to PTA for all the planning and help with last night!!

O’Dea Gear Clothing Drive—Grown out of your O’Dea Gear? We are now accepting gently used O’Dea gear (shirts/sweatshirts) to ensure that all students have a piece. The office team/PTA will work to recycle your gear so all students have an opportunity to show school spirit. Feel free to stop in the front office or bring your gear to Core Fair and drop it in the box outside the office.
“Green Thumbs Wanted! O’Dea is on the hunt for a Nature Center Coordinator! Do you love dirt, sunshine, and watching things grow (including kids)? Help us keep our school nature center blooming and buzzing with life! No horticulture degree required—just a love for plants, creativity, and the joy of getting your hands a little muddy with some eager young gardeners. Interested? Sprout a message to the PTA—we’d love to hear from you!”

Health Office Update
- Student Medication - As we near the end of the year, this is a reminder that if your child has medications in the Health Office, parents/guardians will need to pick it up on or before the last day of school, May 29th. Remember that the 29th is a half-day. Per PSD policy, medications cannot be sent home with your child. If they are not picked up by May 29th 12:00 pm, they will sadly be discarded, and our school nurse will follow state health department procedures to properly dispose of those medications. Thank you for your understanding.
- Just a reminder that Poudre School District requires a Tdap vaccination for students entering 6th grade. Per the PSD website: Students are required to have Tdap prior to entry into 6th grade. It is acceptable to give as early as age 10. Only one dose of Tdap is required for 6th through 12th grades after the primary DTaP series is complete.
