We had a wonderful week at O’Dea! Circling back to last week, there was an error in the newsletter with Choir Dates. K-2 Choir performance is on Thursday, November 20th, and O’Dea Originals is on December 11th. We apologize for this!
Special thanks to the PTA and Parent Volunteers for Treating our Teachers yesterday. PTA met on Tuesday, and we have begun to allocate Fun Run proceeds to 21st-century classrooms. 21st Century Classrooms focuses on modernizing and updating our classrooms to create learning environments with flexible seating, collaborative learning spaces, and resources that support student independence. Thank you to all the O’Dea Community for donating to our annual Fun Run - your support is helping us modernize O’Dea and support the learning of all students!
Our Food Drive was very successful this year - shout out to all the families that donated food cards, which allow us to support many families directly! Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
Don’t forget - 🎯 11/17 School Accountability Committee (SAC) 6:30-7:30 - SAC is a parent, staff, and community-led group that collaborates with school leadership to guide a school's performance and improvement. Its main purpose is to inform, encourage, and advise on school planning and evaluation, including making recommendations on school improvement plans, spending priorities, and family engagement strategies. We are trying a later time to increase parent participation in this important committee.
